Hello and welcome to Inklings Anonymous, the part of my blog where I point the canned air on the dirty parts of our keyboards where the bad writing habits live!
For those of you who frequent this blog, you’ll notice this area is new. For those of you who don’t, you probably won’t notice anything at all. I’m sneaky like that.
Inklings Anonymous is a bit of an advice column for the do’s and dont’s of writing. Each post will feature things I’ve noticed in the books I’ve worked on through various publishing companies and freelance editing. Titles and authors will be totes anonymous (hence that spiffy name, yo), but hopefully it can show you that every writer–even those who’ve faced the publishing demon and come out on the other side–fight these common writing issues at one point or another.
Learn tips, tricks, and suggestions for cleaning up your writing from someone who does it professionally. This segment is meant to highlight common problems writers face when creating their novels, so if there’s anything you’ve been interested to find out about from an editor, please let me know either in the comments or via that nifty contact page I have.
If you are an editor that would like to be featured on this segment, please let me know! I would love to hear from my fellow red-inkers.
Let’s make the world of fiction even better than it already is!
